SYNTAX: Chomsjy (1995) expresses the requirement that every sentence must have a subject (Extended Projection Principle), by a strong D-feature on the functional category T(ense). This D-feature can trigger either movement of the subject to spec,T, or insertion of an expletive in spec,T.
