Inclusiveness condition

GENERAL: Condition that the output of a system does not contain anything beyond its input. Proposed in Chomsky (1995:225) as a condition met by the computational system of human language, and taken to imply that the interface levels contain nothing more than arrangements of lexical features. EXAMPLE: A language which meets the inclusiveness condition cannot contain traces or indices left after movement.
